Abstract Submission
Abstract Submission
As written in the Call for Papers, please note that attendance at this Workshop is restricted basically to the authors who submitted extended abstracts. (Regardless of whether they are accepted or not, all persons with their names in the submitted abstracts as the authors are eligible to register for participation. Exceptions may exist for sponsors, the past hosts, and session chairpersons; for which please contact and ask the local host.)
Abstract Preparation Instructions
Prospective participants are invited to submit only ONE abstract as the first and/or presenting author.
The number of abstracts from the same working group will also be restricted, depending on the balance in the program (which will be taken into account in reviewing the submitted abstracts by the selection committee). Please ensure that your abstract conforms to all of the points on the following checklist:
- The abstract should contain a maximum of 4 pages.
- The body of the text should be single-spaced, 10-point, Times New Roman (or LaTeX default) font and should be written in the area of 170 mm x 245 mm.
- The title should be written in 14-point bold font and should be centered, and then authors' names, affiliations, addresses in brief, and e-mail address of the corresponding author should be written in 10-point font and centered at the top of the first page.
- The presenting author should be indicated by asterisk at the superscript of the name.
- The highlights of the paper should be written in a compact manner with several (3-4) lines.
- The pages should not be numbered.
- All figures should be legible and comprehensible when printed in black and white.
- Abstracts should be supplied in PDF format with a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Review Procedure
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed. Authors will be notified by February 7, 2014 regarding whether their abstracts are accepted or not. All authors who have submitted an abstract are invited to participate in the workshop. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Workshop proceedings and presented at the Workshop.
Oral Presentations
Oral presentations will be 20 minutes plus 5-10 minutes of discussion. (However, depending on the program arrangement, this presentation and discussion time may change.)
Background information which is well-known to specialists working in the same field should be omitted. Work which is still incomplete may be presented, but material already published and disseminated should not be reported.
The conference room is equipped with modern digital audio visual technology, including digital data projection, a large screen, video and DVD.
We suggest that you email a copy of your presentation to the Workshop secretariat (Email:
iwwwfb2014@naoe.eng.osaka-u.ac.jp) before arrival at the Workshop, so that it can be uploaded to a fixed presentation computer. If you prefer to bring your presentation with you on your own computer, it is suggested that you bring a backup copy of your presentation on a memory stick.
